Our Story ...
Heritage Church was started by several residents from our community who expressed an interest in establishing a church here in Macomb Twp. The church began serving our community on January 22, 2000.
During the first year, the attendance averaged 111 people. We are currently averaging over 500 people each week in our two weekend services.
Jeff Forester came on staff as the Lead Pastor in 2006. He brings a practical, often humorous perspective in our services and visionary leadership to our team.
Bob Harvey is our founding pastor. He is currently serving as our Family and Children's Pastor and loving every minute of it.
Tim Wright, our Pastor of Outreach and Innovation, just started in this position after being our Student Ministries Pastor of 3 years. He now is developing this position to reach the community around us and to try and keep Heritage as cutting edge as possible.
Chris Hansen, our Student Ministries Director, leads a vibrant and growing group of over 90 teens. We are so blessed to have such a committed staff.
Presently, we are meeting in the gymnasium of Lutheran High School North, and have a volunteer crew who setup and disassemble the lights, sound, multimedia and staging every week, as well as multiple areas for those in middle school on down to babies, in order to provide a great environment for worship for the hundreds of people who call Heritage "home."
Heritage Church is in the process of negotiating on the purchase of a cutting-edge facility that will allow us to serve our community for years to come.
Our purpose is to encourage and equip people to become fully-devoted followers of Jesus.
