Have you ever wondered how you could use your leadership and administrative skills to help encourage and equip people to become fully devoted followers of Christ?  Becoming a member of an elite team of growth group coaches may be right for you!  Of course, not all applicants will be considered.  However, if you meet the requirements listed below, and you have a strong desire to advance God’s Kingdom at a high level, you may be the person we’re looking for!

Life change happens every day in growth groups at Heritage.  Imagine the impact you could have for the Kingdom by influencing a group of 5 to 10 leaders!  


Coach Job Description

A coach oversees five to ten growth group leaders and gives overall support to the the groups system.  A coach has been a group leader previously and understands the groups system.  This is a volunteer position.  

Time Commitment:

The amount of time required on an ongoing basis fluctuates.  It typically averages between 1-2 hours per week, however, it varies depending on the time of year.  After completing a 1 semester “test drive” the new coach would be asked to commit to one year of service.  

Requirements:

Must be fully engaged member.
Must have led a Heritage growth group.
Must have a willingness to meet as necessary to manage the groups system.
Must be committed to raising up new leaders.
Attend all mandatory training meetings.

Responsibilities:

Pray for group leaders each day.
Communicate with group leaders once a week by phone, email or in person.
Meet with leaders at least once a semester.
Form new groups once a semester.
